Notice to Tourists

All tourists must carefully read the following:

1. While ensuring service standards and without reducing the number of tourist attractions, our agency reserves the right to adjust the order of visits;

2. In the event of delays or changes to the itinerary caused by force majeure (such as traffic delays, strikes, natural disasters, policy-driven price adjustments, or flight/train cancellations or schedule changes), any resulting expenses will be resolved through mutual negotiation. Please note that tour vehicles in Lhasa are chartered, hotels are booked on a long-term basis, and attraction tickets are discounted or provided free of charge under government policies. If a guest voluntarily opts out of visiting a sightseeing spot, or cancels transportation or accommodation at short notice, no refunds will be issued.

3. The minimum group size is 10 people. Our agency reserves the right to cancel the tour and notify guests 10 days prior to departure if the minimum group size is not met. If the tour cannot proceed, our agency will refund all fees collected and shall not be liable for any other responsibilities or losses.

4. Independent travelers joining group tours must pay a room key deposit directly to the hotel upon check-in and keep the receipt in a safe place. Upon check-out, present the receipt and room key at the front desk to settle the bill and retrieve the deposit. Additionally, any food or daily necessities found in the hotel room are considered personal expenses and are not included in the tour fee. If you consume these items, please pay for them at the front desk before leaving the hotel. Phone calls made from hotel rooms are subject to additional charges; please settle the bill at the front desk after use.

5. Please keep valuables with you at all times and do not leave them in your luggage to prevent loss. Be vigilant against pickpockets when going out. Our agency assumes no liability for lost items but will assist guests in filing a police report.

Important Information for Traveling to Tibet:

1. Understanding Altitude Sickness: The oxygen content in Lhasa is only about 70% of that at sea level, and atmospheric pressure is also lower. Upon first arriving at high altitudes, most people will experience varying degrees of symptoms associated with oxygen deprivation, such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing. In severe cases, symptoms may include headaches, body aches, and insomnia. However, this does not mean you cannot adapt to the high-altitude environment. This reaction is perfectly normal; so-called “altitude sickness” is simply your body’s natural response to the discomfort caused by the difference in atmospheric pressure and oxygen deprivation.

2. Upon first arriving at high altitudes, avoid overeating or drinking excessively to prevent overburdening your digestive system, allowing it to adapt to the new environment. It is best to avoid alcohol and smoking. Eat plenty of vegetables, fruits, and other vitamin-rich foods, and drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration. In particular, use lip balm and sunscreen daily to effectively prevent moisture loss and boost your body’s resistance.

3. When first arriving at high altitudes, do not walk rapidly, run, or engage in physical labor. It is best to spend half a day resting completely and avoid catching a cold from getting chilled. Common medications for preventing altitude sickness include: Rhodiola rosea, American ginseng, glucose, and Quick-Acting Heart Rescue Pills.

4. If you are unsure whether you are fit to participate in travel activities in Tibet, we recommend consulting an experienced physician and adopting a cautious approach.

5. In accordance with relevant regulations of the China National Tourism Administration, if a tourist fails to complete the full itinerary due to personal reasons or leaves Tibet early, this will be deemed a voluntary withdrawal from the tour, and the tour fee paid will not be refunded. The tourist shall bear all resulting consequences, and the travel agency assumes no liability.
